MyCV by Knaizen · iPhone
One profile. The right CV for every country.
A CV that works in Dubai can be wrong in Toronto, and one that suits Berlin can be wrong in London. Keep your career in one place, pick the country you are applying to, and MyCV lays it out the way employers there expect. No account, and nothing leaves your iPhone.
Three promises
Honest help with an honest CV.
It never invents anything
MyCV only arranges, trims and checks what you wrote. Every tip points at something already in your profile, and a keyword from a job ad is suggested only if it is true for you.
Honest about its rules
The country rules come from public career advice, which does not always agree. They have not yet been checked by a recruiter in each market, and the app says so on every country until they are.
Stays on your iPhone
No account, no server, no analytics, no ads. Your profile is stored only on your iPhone, encrypted while it is locked, and one button deletes all of it. App Store privacy label: Data Not Collected.
How it works
Write it once. Send it anywhere.
1. Build your profile
Contact details, experience, education, certificates, training, skills, languages and references, with a ring that shows what is still missing. Or import an old CV from a PDF, a text file or a photo of a printed page, then check what was found before it is added.
2. Pick the country
MyCV applies that market's habits: photo or no photo, which personal details belong, paper size, date style, section order, references and signature line.
3. Fit the page
See whether your CV fits the one, two or three pages that country expects, with suggestions on what to hide or shorten.
4. Match the job ad
Paste a job ad and see which of its keywords your CV already covers, which sit only in your skills list, and which are missing.
5. Sharpen it
Advice for the role and level you are aiming at: what to include, cut, reorder or strengthen. British and American spelling differences are pointed out, never changed for you.
6. Export a clean PDF
A plain, single-column PDF that applicant tracking systems can read, ready to share by email, AirDrop or Files.
Countries
Eight rule sets, to start.
The same profile, laid out eight ways. More countries will follow.
| Market | Paper | Photo | Usual length | Personal details |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| United States | Letter | Left out | 1 page, up to 2 | None |
| Canada | Letter | Left out | 1 page, up to 2 | None |
| United Kingdom & Ireland | A4 | Left out | 2 pages | Driving licence only |
| Germany, Austria & Switzerland | A4 | Common | 2 pages, up to 3 | Date of birth, nationality, marital status, driving licence; signature line |
| Gulf (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman) | A4 | Common | 2 pages, up to 3 | Date of birth, nationality, marital status, visa status, driving licence |
| Sweden | A4 | Optional | 2 pages | Driving licence only |
| Norway | A4 | Optional | 2 pages | Driving licence only; references included |
| Denmark | A4 | Optional | 2 pages | Driving licence only |
These are general habits drawn from public career advice, not legal or immigration advice, and they have not yet been reviewed by a recruiter in each market. Employers differ: when a job ad asks for something else, follow the job ad. If you know a rule is wrong for your market, please tell us at support@knaizen.com.
Questions
Frequently asked.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no sign-in. Open the app and start.
Where is my CV stored?
Only on your iPhone, encrypted while the phone is locked. MyCV has no server, so nothing is uploaded to us, and we cannot see your profile. On the My profile screen, Privacy, Delete all my data removes it. Details: privacy policy.
Does it write my CV for me?
No. MyCV lays out, checks and advises on what you wrote; it never adds experience, skills or achievements you did not enter. The advice is based on clear rules, not on an online AI service.
Can I import my old CV?
Yes, from a PDF, a plain text file or a photo of a printed CV. The text is read on your iPhone, and you choose what to add. Word files are not supported yet: save it as a PDF in Word or Pages first.
Will an employer's applicant tracking system read it?
The PDF is a plain single-column layout with real text, which is what these systems read best. Every system is different, though, so no app can promise how a particular employer's system will handle it.
When can I get it?
MyCV is coming to the App Store for iPhone (iOS 17 or later). This page will link to it as soon as it is out.
Is there an Android or iPad version?
MyCV starts on iPhone. Other platforms may follow later.
