How can we help?
Email support@knaizen.com. A person reads every message, usually within two working days. Please don't attach your CV unless we ask: a description of the problem is usually enough.
Importing an old CV
- On the Profile tab, tap Import an old CV and choose a PDF or text file, or a photo of a printed CV. MyCV reads it on your iPhone and shows what it found; untick anything wrong, then tap Add to my profile. Entries already in your profile are kept.
- Lines it could not place are listed under Not recognised. Copy anything you need into your profile by hand.
- Word files (.docx) are not supported yet. Open the file in Word or Pages and export it as a PDF first.
- For photos, use a flat page in good light, straight on, one page per photo. Scanned PDFs without real text are read like photos.
My CV is too long
- On the Tailor tab, the length tile compares your CV with what the chosen country expects. It is an estimate; check the page count in the exported PDF.
- Follow the suggestions to hide old or unrelated roles, or shorten long bullet points. Hidden items stay in your profile for other countries.
Country rules
- Each country's rules decide the photo, personal details, paper size, date style, length, section order, references and signature line.
- They come from public career advice and have not yet been reviewed by a recruiter in each market, which is why the app shows a notice. When a job ad asks for something different, follow the job ad.
- If you know a rule is wrong for your market, or want a country added, email us. We read every suggestion.
Keyword match
On the Tailor tab, paste the job ad's text. MyCV shows which keywords your CV covers in your experience, which appear only in your skills list, and which are missing. Add a missing keyword only where it is true for you, ideally in a bullet that shows how you used it.
Exporting and sharing the PDF
- Open the CV tab, choose the country in the title menu, then tap Share PDF to send it by Mail, Messages, AirDrop or save it to Files.
- If the button is missing, your profile is still empty: add your details or import an old CV first.
Moving to a new iPhone
MyCV has no account or sync. Your profile moves with your iPhone's own backup: restore the new iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup, or use Quick Start when setting it up. To be safe, also export a PDF of your CV before you switch.
Deleting your data
On the My profile screen, under Privacy, tap Delete all my data and confirm. Everything MyCV stored on the iPhone is removed. Uninstalling the app does the same. We hold no copy, so there is nothing to ask us to delete.
