Privacy policy
Your CV stays on your iPhone.
Last updated 30 October 2026
In short: MyCV by Knaizen has no account, no sign-in, no server, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Everything you enter or import is stored only on your iPhone and processed there. We never receive your CV or anything about you. App Store privacy label: Data Not Collected.
Who we are
MyCV by Knaizen ("MyCV") is made by Knaizen, an app studio of Khalil Labs (SMC-Private) Limited, a company registered in Pakistan ("we", "us"). Questions about privacy: support@knaizen.com.
No account, no server
You never create an account or sign in. MyCV does not connect to any server of ours, and it has no user database, so there is nothing about you for us to store, lose or sell. The app works fully offline.
What the app stores, and where
Your profile is stored in a file on your iPhone, inside the app's own private storage, protected by iOS file encryption while the phone is locked. It contains what you choose to enter, which can include:
- your name, contact details, links (such as a LinkedIn address) and a photo you pick;
- personal details some countries expect, such as date of birth, nationality, marital status, visa status or driving licence, only if you add them;
- your summary, work experience, education, certifications, training, skills, languages and references (including the names and contact details of your referees, if you add them);
- your tailoring settings, such as the country chosen and a job ad you pasted.
The app also has a few general settings saved on the iPhone. If you enter details about other people, such as referees, please make sure they are happy to be named on your CV.
Importing an old CV
When you import a CV, you pick a PDF or text file with the iPhone's file picker, or a photo with the photo picker. MyCV only sees the file or photo you choose; it does not ask for access to your whole photo library or your camera. The text is read on the iPhone, using Apple's built-in PDF and text recognition, and you review what was found before anything is added. Nothing is uploaded.
Exporting and sharing your CV
MyCV makes the PDF on your iPhone. It goes only where you send it, through the iPhone's share sheet (for example Mail, Messages, AirDrop or Files). Once you send it, the app or person you sent it to handles it under their own terms and privacy policy.
Backups
Like other apps' data, your MyCV profile is included in your iPhone's own backups (iCloud Backup, or a backup to your computer) if you have them turned on. Those backups belong to your Apple Account or your computer; we cannot read them. MyCV has no sync or cloud storage of its own.
What leaves your iPhone
- Only what you choose to send: a CV PDF you share, or an email you write to us.
- Your iPhone's own backups, if you have turned them on, to Apple or to your computer.
- Downloading the app and its updates from the App Store, handled by Apple.
Nothing else. There are no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or tracking services in the app.
What we do not do
- No account, no sign-in, no user profile on our side.
- No advertising, no ad networks, no analytics or tracking SDKs, no selling or sharing of data.
- No tracking across other apps or websites, so the app never asks for permission to track you.
- No online AI service: the advice and checks are made by rules inside the app.
Support emails
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write, and use them only to answer you. Please don't attach your CV unless you need to. We keep support emails no longer than needed to help you, and you can ask us to delete them.
Our websites
knaizen.com and mycv.knaizen.com set no cookies and use no analytics or trackers. Our web server keeps standard access logs (including IP addresses) for up to 14 days for security.
Your choices
- Delete everything: on the My profile screen, under Privacy, tap Delete all my data. Your profile is removed from the iPhone at once.
- Edit or remove any detail: change or delete any entry in your profile at any time; personal details are never required.
- Uninstalling the app also removes everything it stored on the phone. Copies in older iPhone backups are removed when those backups are replaced or deleted.
Children
MyCV is meant for people preparing job applications. It is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a future version adds anything that sends data off your iPhone, such as optional online features, we will update this policy first and the app will tell you before that feature is used.
