Terms of use
The terms.
Last updated 30 October 2026
These terms are between you and Khalil Labs (SMC-Private) Limited, Pakistan ("we", "us"), which makes MyCV by Knaizen ("MyCV") through its studio Knaizen. By using the app you accept them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard App Store EULA) also applies; where the two differ, these terms add to it but do not take away any right it gives you.
1. What MyCV is
MyCV is a tool for writing your own CV. It stores your profile on your iPhone, lays it out for the country you choose, estimates its length, compares it with a job ad you paste, gives rule-based advice and exports a PDF. It does not write content for you, and it is not a recruitment agency, a careers adviser or a job board.
2. Your CV is yours, and so is its accuracy
- Everything you enter or import belongs to you. We do not receive it and claim no rights over it.
- You are responsible for what your CV says. Make sure it is true and that you may share any details you include about other people, such as referees.
- MyCV never adds experience, skills or achievements. When it suggests a keyword from a job ad, add it only if it is true for you.
- Importing reads text automatically and can make mistakes. Check everything before you send a CV.
3. Country rules are general guidance
The rules for each market (photo, personal details, paper size, dates, length, section order, references and signature) are general habits drawn from public career advice, which does not always agree. They have not yet been reviewed by a recruiter in each market, and the app shows a notice saying so. They are not legal, immigration or employment advice. Individual employers and job ads may ask for something different; when they do, follow them.
4. No promise of results
Length estimates, keyword matches and advice are aids, not guarantees. The page fitter estimates length, and the exported PDF may differ. A plain single-column PDF is what applicant tracking systems usually read best, but we cannot promise how any particular employer's system will handle it. Using MyCV does not guarantee an interview, a job or any other outcome.
5. Your data
MyCV keeps your profile on your iPhone only; how that works is set out in the privacy policy. Because we never receive your data, we cannot recover it for you. Keep your iPhone backed up, and keep a copy of any CV you need.
6. Using the app fairly
Do not try to break or reverse engineer the app, or use it for anything unlawful, such as creating a CV in someone else's name. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's usage rules.
7. Changes to the app
We may add, change or remove features and country rules over time, for example when a rule is reviewed or corrected. If a later version adds paid features, the price and what you get will be shown in the App Store before you buy, and these terms will be updated first.
8. No warranty
We work hard to make the app reliable, but it is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be error-free or always available.
9. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost data, or for decisions made using the app, including job applications and their outcomes. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes to these terms and ending
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and important changes will be shown in the app. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting your data in the app and uninstalling it.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without taking away any protection you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
